The Famine Pot
This cast-iron pot was originally used at Coolmountain House to provide soup for starving people during the Great Famine in the 1840s. It was found in the 1990s being used by a local family as a hot-tub. They kindly donated it to the village and in was setup under a shelter of a design similar to some peasant houses on the period.
